On Friday I will be headed to good ol' Charleston, South Carolina to party down at the College of Charleston's annual Charleston Affair. This event is held by the alumni association and is meant to welcome the newest class into the alumni association.
Let me tell you...this is a blast. I have yet to miss the esteemed Charleston Affair since my own senior year in 2008. This will be my fourth Charleston Affair, and surely not my last. Let me tell you. It is an absolute blast. They tend the Cistern and string up lights in front of Randolph Hall, and create a stage where in a few weeks the Senior class will walk across and accept their diploma. Not to mention they provide all you can eat and drink for a pretty reasonable price.
Simply put, Charleston Affair is amazing......and Charleston, SC is even better. I do not doubt that I will enjoy the beautiful spring weather and will indulge in one to many drinks and too many biscuits at brunch. I can't wait to go to the friendliest city in the country and reunite with old friends.
Charleston is the only city where my wanderlust is kept at bay. Hmmmm....what does that say?
