30 Day Challenge: Best Book I Read Last Year

Yikes! Last year I read tons of amazing books. I read Outliers, The Hunger Games Trilogy and The Girl with the Millenium Series...and many more. Picking the best isn't easy!

However, I believe the best book I read last year was from the Millenium Series it was

This is my favorite book of the trilogy (isn't that how it usually works, the middle books are the best). Here you learn more about Lisbeth and how the system failed her and what has caused her to be the way she is. This is where the much larger problem is introduced, the scope of everything (or most things are known) and it's filled with action.

If  you haven't read the Millenium Series, I strongly suggest you do. Beware, it's graphic, violent and the first 100 pages or so are a bit "difficult" (aka boring) to get through. But it IS necessary. The first one is entertaining, the second one amazing and the last one shocking.

I could use another Nook Book, what was the best book YOU read last year? (or even this year!).

  1. The best book I read in 2011 was 'The Sacred Book of the Werewolf' by Victor Pelevin. A Hu-Li is a werefox, but she's so much more than that. She's 2,000 years old, one of a sisterhood of werefoxes from ancient China. These foxes are a kind of energy vampires, using prostitution as a cover to feed off the sexual energy of men. Through a kind of hallucinogenic effect they produce with their fox-tails, A Hu-Li and her sisters never actually have to touch these men. A Hu-Li is, in fact, a 2,000-year-old virgin. For the first time in her extremely long life, A Hu-Li is faced with the prospect of falling in love.
