Let me start this off by saying, I love each and every Harry Potter Book for very different reasons. With each book I read the writing matured as Harry did and I grew up with these books. But as I stop to ponder the choice is pretty obvious. My favorite book of the Harry Potter Series is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
I feel as if this is the book where things really begin to happen. This is the book where you fully realize what a genius JK Rowling is. This is where you learn that a rat isn't just a rat and that we have to pay attention to the connections.
I love this novel, I love how it truly opened my eyes to how a book can truly be analyzed and how that there are many layers and meanings to a book. Before this novel when my teachers told me that authors never do anything on accident I didn't believe them. I thought surely sometimes the walls are just green. But this book showed me how wrong I was!
I love the twist I love the heartache, I love the testament to true friendship. I love how it showed us how flawed Severus Snape was. If for some reason you haven't read the books, or if you've only read a couple I implore you to keep reading. To reach this book. Because this is the book that in my opinion the turning point of the series. This is the novel that made this series not your run-of-the-mill children's series and took it to the next level. This is the book that showed the world it deserves to be a great work of literature.
